Until now, you might have known us as Yalp. The Dutch company that makes interactive playsets. But in 2024, we're undergoing an exciting transformation into Lappset Interactive. But not much will change! We remain steadfast in our commitment to our core values. We are thrilled to operate as a brand that has more than 50 years of experience and, like us, embodies a strong culture and work ethic. Discover the power of fun under our new name! 1980: Embarking on Play with Lappset
Since 1980, we have proudly provided the Netherlands with challenging Lappset play and sports equipment under the name Lappset, synonymous
with high quality in the market, materials, and play value. We've achieved this as a dedicated team.
2006: Innovating Play with Yalp
Starting in 2006, we introduced unique interactive equipment, developed in-house under the name 'Yalp' – a playful twist on 'Play.' These
interactive devices, often solar-powered, are strategically placed in parks, neighborhoods, recreation areas, and schoolyards. Our journey began
with the introduction of the award-winning interactive dance and play arch, Sona, followed by Sutu, Memo, Fono, Toro, and Luna. This marked the dawn of a new era of play – a fresh approach to the concept. Today, our interactive play equipment can be found globally, offering a distinctive play experience for individuals aged 4 to 100, transcending borders and bringing people together.
2012: Broadening Our Circle of Friends at Lappset
Originally, our goal was to internationalize Yalp, but the decision to collaborate with an established and experienced partner proved more effective. In 2012, we formed a strategic alliance with Lappset Group, a company with a rich history since its founding in 1970.
Yalp transitioned into a subsidiary of the Lappset Group, granting us access to the extensive global network that Lappset had cultivated. This
collaboration significantly expanded our league, bringing in more players and enhancing our prospects in the game.
2020: Champions League for Yalp and Lappset!
Starting in 2020, we intensified our collaboration with our parent company, Lappset Group, in Finland. Our organizations are seamlessly integrated, enabling us to synergize the strengths of both entities more effectively. This shift allowed us not only to participate in the World Cup of playground equipment but also elevated us to the Champions League status within the industry. Our international teams, composed of the best colleagues, now play together, and the results are beginning to show.
2024: The Culmination of Play: Yalp Evolves into Lappset
After an extended period of play, the moment of transformation has arrived. It stands as the pinnacle of our collaboration, affirming its correctness. Yalp Interactive now seamlessly transitions to being recognized and communicated as Lappset Interactive.
