Space-themed playground in Finland
The rocket and spaceship that stand out at the Seinäjoki playground open the door for children to thrilling space adventures. Children can climb and explore the insides of the spaceship, jump into the rocket and dream of distant galaxies. This playground, tailored to the customer's wishes, encourages boundless imaginative adventures for space lovers of all ages.
A playground full of adventures tailored to customer's wishes
"We wanted to add some cheer to the centre of Seinäjoki, and we also hoped to attract families to the downtown area. We started brainstorming the theme of the park together with the customer, and then the customer came up with the phrase 'Seinäjoki is the capital of space', and from there we started working on the park. A unique large rocket lying sideways was planned for the park, and a standing rocket was also modified according to the customer's needs. The base also wanted colour and spectacle, so stars and shuttle flames were included. All in all, it has been delightful to work on this project together with the customer!" says Jarno Virkki, who was involved in the Lappset project as a regional manager.

"The park has been embraced with incredible enthusiasm, attracting truly substantial numbers of visitors. The entire Central Park has sprung to life, all thanks to the equipment and activities provided by Space Park.
The phrase 'Seinäjoki is the capital of space' refers to facts, phenomena, and images associated with Seinäjoki. When speaking of Seinäjoki, one might think of geography: the city and its surroundings are a vast plain. As Seinäjoki is the most significant city in this expansive area, it is indeed the capital of space.
There's been an impressive number of players since the park's opening, and the Space Park has become one of the central attractions in Seinäjoki!" comments Kari Hirvensalo, the City Gardener of Seinäjoki.
This unique and tailored environment, complete with play functions, supports the development of children's motor skills.

The playground includes a large rocket structure with, among other things, two slides, as well as a spaceship where there is the opportunity to climb, slide down slides, and expend energy in general.
