Area planning

Let us assist you in making the most of your outdoor space! Our designers will create an ideal layout for your playground and sports equipment, ensuring everything is conveniently located, and all available space is utilised to the fullest.

Outdoor spaces advocating physical activity can encourage people to get moving

Once the plan for the playground and outdoor sports area is established and equipment needs are determined, our designers assist with designing the layout of the area. We incorporate the theme, colours, placement of equipment, terrain forms, and the overall usability of the area into the plan in addition to the customer’s requirements and preferences. Our designers will also add their own attractions to trigger people to move: additional functions or themes are presented with the layout plan if they are suitable for the project. We finalise the layout plan in collaboration with the customer.

The layout plan

When creating a layout plan, it is important to consider the location of equipment and their positioning in relation to each other. Additionally, passageways should be optimised for usability and enhanced with park furniture such as benches, chairs, and litter bins.

Surface materials are also a crucial consideration, as is the direction of both natural and artificial light. The existing natural or built surroundings must also be considered, whether they will remain or be removed. Finally, all elements are reviewed, including any special needs or customer requests, to ensure they fit within budget constraints.

The most important issue

The most important issue of the layout plan is the area’s target user group. When creating a playground or sports area for activating people, the focus should be on understanding who will primarily be using the area. We must also consider proper safety standards to create a safe space for all users to enjoy and feel comfortable. The story of the area should support the user experience in all situations.

To make sure everything is clear, involving users in the planning process as early as possible is the best approach to take. This builds ownership of the project and area and helps minimise any potential damage caused by vandalism.

Planning of indoor playgrounds

When it comes to planning the layout of an indoor playground, it is important to make the most of all available space. By utilising every nook and cranny optimally, you can create a fun and engaging environment that both children and adults will love.

One great advantage of an indoor playground is the ability to incorporate educational, inspirational, or gaming elements into the design. These features motivate people to move around and interact with the space in unique and exciting ways. For instance, interactive playsets can be added to activate children and fuel their curiosity.
