Center Parcs creates interactive activity zones for their evolving audience

Amid stiff competition, Center Parcs (Resort) is not standing still. They are taking active strides towards realizing over 60 new activity zones across its parks in 2015. These all aim to create a more substantial and mention-worthy experience. To tailor to the growing market of teenagers, Center Parcs chose to place 12 interactive playsets in six of their holiday parks across Western Europe.

Center Parcs placed 12 interactive playsets in six of their holiday parks across Western Europe.

This includes The Netherlands (De Eemhof & De Kempervennen), Belgium (De Vossemeren), Germany (Bispinger Heide), and France (Le Lac d’Ailette & Le Bois aux Daims). The interactive playsets of choice were the Lappset Sutu Interactive ball wall and the Lappset Fono Interactive DJ-booth. "With the Sutu and Fono, we are now able to entertain the teenagers accompanying their families during their visits," explains Ruud Rerink – Product Development Manager at Center Parcs.

The perfect hangout spot for the younger generation

"It was challenging to find something for this target group because they're hard to please. After all, teenagers want to "chill out" and meet new friends; while wanting nothing more than to escape their parents' supervision. In addition to the Fono, we have started offering a program that includes pool parties and DJ workshops."

After a stellar season, all park managers are looking back on their investments very positively. Many of the Center Parcs interactive playsets are within the top 10 most played worldwide. "The guests love it, and the playsets are used nonstop, every day of the season," says Ruud. "The playsets are highly reliable, and they've proven vandalism-proof. Yalp Netherlands has also been very helpful all along the way while giving us free consultation all along the way."
